Reiki

If your animal is stressed, in pain, or dealing with an illness, their body's vital energy is depleted.  When they're sick or upset, their body has to work hard just to maintain, adding stress to their system.

Reiki can help.

What is Reiki?

The name Reiki, pronounced "Ray-Key", comes from the Japanese words "rei", meaning spirit, and "ki, meaning energy.  It is usually translated as "universal life energy."  It is also considered a holistic energy healing system that is gentle and non-invasive, and yet can yeild powerful results.

When using Reiki, I set the intention to facilitate the healing process of your pet and allow Reiki to flow in whatever amount your pet needs.

Reiki is ideal for animals because its effectiveness is not dependent upon physical contact, the animal also controls the treatment, recieving the healing which is most comfortable for the animal, either hands on or from a distance.  Reiki is also ideal for animals because it is a gentle and non-invasive form of healing.  There is no stress, discomfort or pain, yet has powerful results.  Animals respond to Reiki intuitively.

Who needs Reiki ?

Healthy animals can use Reiki to help maintain their health, it enhances relaxation and can promote peace and contentment

For unhealthy or ill animals, Reiki is a wonderful healing method, and it is a safe compliment to Western medicine, Chinese medicine and any other form of healing.  It can reduce the side effects of chemo, support accupuncture and homeopathy.

For dying animals, Reiki is a powerful, yet gentle way to provide comfort and relief from pain and anxiety, and to ease the transition into death.

"The Reiki method is not only for curing illness. Its true purpose is to correct the heart-mind, keep the body fit, and lead a happy life using the spiritual capabilities human beings were endowed with since birth."
- From the memorial stone of Mikao Usui, founder of the Usui System of Reiki Healing

The Usui System of Reiki Healing—Usui Shiki Ryoho—applies this energy through gentle touch for the purpose of healing.

Reiki is a touch therapy. The touch is very light, and the hands don’t massage or manipulate the tissues.

Reiki treatment relieves stress and restores the body’s vital energy, bringing accelerated healing, improved well-being, and pain relief.

Studies prove it and even human hospitals use it. And Reiki treats both the symptom and its underlying cause.
